The system uses UEFI without Secure Boot or legacy compatibility features.

No helpful information is printed with either of these parameters, only
a line saying "Booting a command list..." appears.

Yes, this parameter fixes the problem for me. The kernel boots fine and
the system works as usual.

> - If you haven't already reported this, does the Linux 4.5-rc4 package

Yes, the same thing happens using the kernel from
linux-image-4.5.0-rc4-amd64.
