Package: src:linux Version: 3.16.7-ckt11-1+deb8u2 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? apt-get update, then apt-get dist-upgrade * What was the outcome of this action? Nothing unusual that I noticed, until I rebooted. On boot I see the grub menu, then "Loading, please wait...", then a blank screen with three small blocks (I think it might by 'plymouth') then it goes back to "Loading, please wait...". After 10 minutes there is no change. If I boot in recovery mode, it ends with ALERT! /dev/mapper/nickpad-root does not exist. and some sort of recovery shell. * What outcome did you expect instead? A prompt for my root partition's passphrase. Fortunately I do still see this when booting 3.2 (which I am using now), but then wireless doesn't work. Help! I'll be happy to provide more information. -- Package-specific info: ** Kernel log: boot messages should be attached Er... could you be more specific? ** Model information sys_vendor: LENOVO
