Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
This happens upon boot
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
As root I recover the network without any issue with:
modprobe r8169
/etc/init.d/network-manager restart
/etc/init.d/bind9 restart
   * What was the outcome of this action?
I recover the network without any issue
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
That the firmware is loaded on boot and the network is available without
further action.
