Bug#800594: octeon: please add support for the Octeon MMC controller (EdgeRouter Pro)

Source: linux
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

The EdgeRouter Pro 8 (UBNT_E200) board, already supported by the Debian
kernel, has a 4GB on-board eMMC card for use as main storage. The card
is wired to the Octeon MMC controller, which is unsupported by the
mainline kernel. However, there is an out-of-tree patch[1] adding
support for the controller. I re-built 4.2.1-2 with the patch and
verified that it indeed works correctly.

Please consider including the patch and enabling CONFIG_OCTEON_MMC for
the octeon flavor.

Regards,
Apollon
