After installing linux-image-2.6.20-1-powerpc a vmlinuz kernel was not created. Running dpkg-reconfigure gives this
sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-2.6.20-1-powerpc
Running depmod.
Finding valid ramdisk creators.
Using mkinitramfs-kpkg to build the ramdisk.
cpio: Read error at byte 12288 in file ./lib/udev/usb_id, padding with zeros
Not updating initrd symbolic links since we are being updated/reinstalled
(2.6.20-1 was configured last, according to dpkg)
Not updating image symbolic links since we are being updated/reinstalled
(2.6.20-1 was configured last, according to dpkg)
Examining /etc/kernel/postinst.d.
run-parts: executing /etc/kernel/postinst.d/mkvmlinuz
/usr/sbin/mkvmlinuz: line 322: /usr/lib/mkvmlinuz/wrapper: No such file or directory
