I can't see any changes between these two package versions that could
explain this.  There are no changes to the hard drive controller driver
(ahci).  There are a few changes to the common ATA support code (libata)
but they should have no effect here.

Is there any other change that could explain this?  E.g. did you turn
off the power before booting 3.16.7-ckt4-3, but not in other cases?
