Bug#779698: linux-image-3.16.0-4-amd64: Please enable mcelog support under XEN

Package: src:linux
Version: 3.16.7-ckt4-3
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

It seems mcelog support when running under XEN (new feature in 3.6) is not enabled in the Debian build.

Please consider enabling XEN_MCE_LOG in the Debian kernel.

Please note that mcelog works fine in Jessie when not running under xen (from /var/log/mcelog):

Hardware event. This is not a software error.

But when the Jessie kernel is running under XEN I get nothing in /var/log/mcelog, but still see the memory errors in 'xl dmesg'.

Thanks,
 Henrik
