Bug#777455: linux 3.16.7-ckt4-3: [PATCH] Please add dts for A20-OLinuXino-LIME2

Source: linux
Version: 3.16.7-ckt4-3
Severity: Wishlist
Tags: patch

Hello,

the Olimex A20-OLinuXino-LIME2 is a small ARM development board
based on the Allwinner A20 SoC. Its predecessor, the
A20-OLinuXino-LIME, is already supported in the Debian kernel.
The board design and the amount of memory differs between the
LIME and the LIME2, but both use mostly the same components. The
one major exception is the ethernet PHY: the LIME2 uses a
gigabit-capable RTL8211CL-GR instead of a RTL8201CP 100MBit-PHY,
but both are supported by the Realtek PHY driver in kernel 3.16.
Full driver support for the board (UART, MMC, SATA, USB,
Ethernet) is therefore already available in kernel 3.16, just the
device-tree information is missing. Attached is a patch against
the Debian kernel SVN to backport the devicetree from kernel
3.18.

As this is a fully self-contained patch providing only additional
device-tree data and not touching any existing code, I consider
it suitable for inclusion into Jessie despite the freeze.

Regards,
Karsten
