Package: src:linux Version: 3.13.5-1~bpo70+1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, This is an amd64 system running 32 bits 686-pae kernel 1G of RAM I have not (can not) tested with full 64 bits system qemu-kvm is working for some seconds then oops I tried both qemu-kvm from wheezy and from wheezy-backports no problem with kernel 3.2 from wheezy This is really a problem with 3.13 kernel from wheezy-backports I had no problem with previous 3.12 kernel from wheezy-backports qemu-kvm is not killed automatically by the oops cpu load 100% so I kill it manually The system is then back to normal. Here after is the syslog with backtrace Thanks for your great work, -- igor [ 5603.271822] kvm: zapping shadow pages for mmio generation wraparound [ 5606.237989] kvm [5672]: vcpu0 unhandled rdmsr: 0xc0010001 [ 5642.388011] INFO: rcu_sched self-detected stall on CPU { 1} (t=5250 jiffies g=98266 c=98265 q=1023) [ 5642.388011] sending NMI to all CPUs: [ 5642.388011] NMI backtrace for cpu 1 [ 5642.388011] CPU: 1 PID: 5674 Comm: kvm Tainted: G W 3.13-0.bpo.1-686-pae #1 Debian 3.13.5-1~bpo70+1 [ 5642.388011] Hardware name: Acer Aspire 5100 /Navarro, BIOS V3.13 08/22/2008 [ 5642.388011] task: d4dbb6a0 ti: d78d4000 task.ti: d78d4000 [ 5642.388011] EIP: 0060:[<c1235611>] EFLAGS: 00200817 CPU: 1 [ 5642.388011] EIP is at delay_tsc+0x1/0x60 [ 5642.388011] EAX: 0018288d EBX: 00002710 ECX: c1591000 EDX: 0018288c [ 5642.388011] ESI: c1596280 EDI: c1596280 EBP: 00000001 ESP: d78d5c98 [ 5642.388011] DS: 007b ES: 007b FS: 00d8 GS: 00e0 SS: 0068 [ 5642.388011] CR0: 8005003b CR2: b7751680 CR3: 21c4e000 CR4: 000007f0 [ 5642.388011] Stack: [ 5642.388011] 00000001 c12355c8 c103c8ed c14f7563 ef86f760 c10a178a c14fba54 00001482 [ 5642.388011] 00017fda 00017fd9 000003ff 00000001 d4d6cefd ef86f760 c1596280 c15d2e24 [ 5642.388011] 00000000 d4dbb6a0 00000000 00000001 ef86f9e0 c105d9c5 ef86fa38 d78d5dcc [ 5642.388011] Call Trace: [ 5642.388011] [<c12355c8>] ? __const_udelay+0x18/0x20 [ 5642.388011] [<c103c8ed>] ? arch_trigger_all_cpu_backtrace+0x4d/0x70 [ 5642.388011] [<c10a178a>] ? rcu_check_callbacks+0x39a/0x5b0 [ 5642.388011] [<c105d9c5>] ? update_process_times+0x35/0x70 [ 5642.388011] [<c10ac1f6>] ? tick_sched_handle.isra.11+0x26/0x60 [ 5642.388011] [<c10ac30b>] ? tick_sched_timer+0x3b/0x80 [ 5642.388011] [<c10706b5>] ? __remove_hrtimer+0x45/0xa0 [ 5642.388011] [<c1070c1b>] ? __run_hrtimer+0x6b/0x1d0 [ 5642.388011] [<c10a5094>] ? ktime_get_update_offsets+0x44/0x110 [ 5642.388011] [<c10ac2d0>] ? tick_nohz_handler+0xa0/0xa0 [ 5642.388011] [<c1071939>] ? hrtimer_interrupt+0x209/0x2d0 [ 5642.388011] [<c10abe61>] ? tick_program_event+0x21/0x30 [ 5642.388011] [<c103a726>] ? local_apic_timer_interrupt+0x26/0x50 [ 5642.388011] [<c10560fd>] ? irq_enter+0xd/0x60 [ 5642.388011] [<c103ab4b>] ? smp_apic_timer_interrupt+0x2b/0x50 [ 5642.388011] [<c1430bec>] ? apic_timer_interrupt+0x34/0x3c [ 5642.388011] [<f0b79bd0>] ? update_cr8_intercept+0x10/0x60 [kvm_amd] [ 5642.388011] [<f0ea791b>] ? update_cr8_intercept+0x4b/0x70 [kvm] [ 5642.388011] [<f0eb232a>] ? kvm_arch_vcpu_ioctl_run+0x51a/0xc50 [kvm] [ 5642.388011] [<f0b78b4a>] ? svm_compute_tsc_offset+0x1a/0xb0 [kvm_amd] [ 5642.388011] [<f0eaf626>] ? kvm_vm_ioctl_irq_line+0x26/0x40 [kvm] [ 5642.388011] [<f0eae61c>] ? kvm_arch_vcpu_load+0x16c/0x1f0 [kvm] [ 5642.388011] [<f0e9ec25>] ? kvm_vcpu_ioctl+0x2e5/0x4a0 [kvm] [ 5642.388011] [<c10aea3c>] ? futex_wake+0xec/0x100 [ 5642.388011] [<c10afedf>] ? do_futex+0x2cf/0x9e0 [ 5642.388011] [<f0e9e940>] ? vcpu_put+0x20/0x20 [kvm] [ 5642.388011] [<c115e2d3>] ? do_vfs_ioctl+0x73/0x540 [ 5642.388011] [<c10b06ef>] ?
