I'm also getting my computer running very slowly - particularly if i try and run more than one or two programs (icedove for example is slowing it down excruciatingly and even worse if with e.g. iceweasel or libreoffice). However, when I check system monitor, they aren't using more ram than usual and there certainly should be enough to go around...
