Package: src:linux
Version: 3.2.54-2
Justification: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past)
Severity: serious

Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

'bc' is now a build-time dependancy of the linux kernel. As this isn't
marked as a dependancy of build-essential or any of the normal build-chain
tools, it should be added to the debian/control for kernel src packages.

Building the kernel on a host without bc will result in an error. The
    first of which is:

          AS arch/x86/vdso/vdso32/sysenter.o
          CC kernel/irq_work.o
          CC arch/x86/vdso/vdso32-setup.o
          BC kernel/timeconst.h
        /bin/sh: 1: bc: not found
        make[2]: *** [kernel/timeconst.h] Error 127
        make[1]: *** [kernel] Error 2
