Bug#735254: linux-image-3.12-1-kirkwood fails to boot on QNAP TS-212

Dear Maintainer,

I've upgraded the kernel to 3.12.6-2 from 3.11-2 on my QNAP TS-212 which is
an armel kirkwood based platform. After a reboot, the unit never came online.

I connected a serial cable to debug, uboot loaded the kernel, but it stopped
after attempting to start the kernel. The status LED kept blinking red and
I did see a bit of a heartbeat on the disk LEDs.

After updating from the installer, I flashed the latest version of the kernel
again, but without results. I removed the 3.12 files from /boot and ran 
flash-kernel after which the system booted as it always did (current 
environment). I did not save changes to any of uboot's environment variables.
