I think that module acer_wmi can freeze system on last kernels. With acer_wmi $ sudo rfkill list 0: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: yes Hard blocked: yes 1: acer-wireless: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: yes Hard blocked: no Without acer_wmi 0: phy0: Wireless LAN Soft blocked: no Hard blocked: no I dont know what a 'acer-wireless'. I blacklisted acer_wmi, and now system works fine. However, time for check is necessary.
