Package: debian-kernel-handbook Version: 1.0.15 Severity: wishlist Hello, The Debian kernel handbook has a chapter "Common kernel-related tasks". Which has paragraphs as "Rebuilding official Debian kernel packages", "Building a custom kernel from Debian kernel source" and "Building out-of-tree kernel modules". But I miss a paragraph how to (re)build a single kernel module. Typical use case is having a USB device with a supported chip set, but USB-IDs not enumerated in the driver. In other words: How to do simple driver development as adding USB-IDs? Please document which steps should be taken to have only a single module compiled that can be "insmod" to the Debian kernel.
