Package: linux-image-2.6.26-2-686
Version: 2.6.26-19lenny1
Severity: normal

Hi,

I have just had a hang on my machine, then running 2.6.26-19. The last
things I could see on the console was about 10 lines of these:

nf_conntrack: table full, dropping packet

The machine required a hard reset to come back to life. In my
/etc/sysctl.conf, I already have some adjustments:

net.core.rmem_max = 6777216
net.core.wmem_max = 6777216
net.ipv4.tcp_rmem = 4096 87380 6777216
net.ipv4.tcp_wmem = 4096 65536 6777216
net.ipv4.netfilter.ip_conntrack_max = 485760
vm.mmap_min_addr=4096

My logs looked benign to me.

I'd like Linux to handle the situation more gracefully, retaining at
least responsiveness to console operations.

Kind regards,
--Toni++

Hi,
your bug has been filed against the "linux-2.6" source package and was filed for
a kernel older than the recently released Debian 7.0 / Wheezy with a severity
less than important.

We don't have the ressources to reproduce the complete backlog of all older kernel
bugs, so we're closing this bug for now. If you can reproduce the bug with Debian Wheezy
or a more recent kernel from testing or unstable, please reopen the bug by sending
a mail to control@bugs.debian.org with the following three commands included in the
mail:

reopen BUGNUMBER
reassign BUGNUMBER src:linux
thanks

Cheers,
        Moritz
