Nah, I did not include verbose output, because I could not find
anything interesting therein. Right now I cannot reproduce the
problem, but I will provide a full log once I can.

Thank you for your analysis. I do not seem to have the same problem,
unfortunately, as I can manipulate the scaling via sysfs just fine.
