Package: firmware-linux-free Version: 2.6.32-10 Severity: normal The NEWS file about the hd -> scsi migration is included in all binary packages of linux-2.6. This is problematic because, for example, the message is displayed by apt-listchanges when firmware-linux-free is upgraded (and not at all useful in this case). But then, it is not displayed anymore by apt-listchanges when linux-image-2.6.32-4-amd64 or linux-base are installed. It would be better if this NEWS file wes only present in the binary package that contains the upgrade script (linux-base it seems). Regards Vincent -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers oldstable APT policy: (500, 'oldstable'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash -- no debconf information
