Bug#698821: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64: ARECA driver arcmsr is out of date - please update

Package: src:linux
Version: 3.2.51-1
Followup-For: Bug #698821

I would like to ping this bug: debian is not installable on latest Areca controllers like ARC-12x4, and they are out since many months now.

The latest driver is available from this page: http://www.areca.com.tw/support/main.htm
and the latest version at the time of this writing is this one:
http://www.areca.us/support/s_linux/driver/arcmsr-1.30.0X.16-131015.zip

By compiling it by hand it works fine, but this does not solve the problem of unattended kernel updates and new installations.
