Very similar problem related to hang if anything is connected to the USB 3.0 capable port is reported here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/978891 It seems, that there are also other types of laptops affected (see comments #31, #34, #37 and #41) -- Regards, Wojtek
