Bug#698628: firmware-realtek: rtl8168e-3.fw conflict with fglrx

Control: tag -1 moreinfo

Sorry for the slow response. We have quite a backlog, and this just
didn't make any sense to me so I couldn't see where to start on it.

It loads the firmware while shutting down? Or earlier?

I believe it provides bug fixes for the PHY (the part of the chip
closest to the wire) that improve compatibility with some other Ethernet
devices and cables. But you might not be affected by any of those bugs.

I think this might prevent using wake-on-LAN, though.

Documenting every weird situation like this is completely unworkable,
though. And we don't know what the problem really is.

Ben.
