Bug#718312: linux-image-3.10-1-amd64: Kernel panic crashes drm_kms_helper causing hard lockup
Another workaround is to monitor dmesg, and if mei_me errors occur on
resume, perform another suspend/resume cycle to stop the errors. I have
not seen any panic when taking these precautions.
More upstream discussion about (now five) patches for 3.11 that together
appear to fix this problem:
