Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.32-29
Severity: important

When using suspend in KDE on a HP EliteBook 8440p laptop, the screen
is almost black when resuming. This problem is not present in RHEL 6
and Ubuntu Maverik, but also found in Ubuntu Lucid.

I got the laptop available for testing for a few more days, so if
there is anything more information I can provide, please let me know.

The kernel log below is just after boot, and not after resume.

I found <URL: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=598162 >
over at RH that seem similar but is using a different video driver
(mine uses intel).
<URL: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=597141 > got another
display related bug for the same model.

For Ubuntu, I found
<URL: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/570604 >,
which might be related.

After hibernate, the machine did not come up at all. Not sure if this
is the same bug or if I should report it as a separate bug.
