Hello,

I have an AR9287 card using ath9k.  Sometimes, the card will not come up
correctly on boot.  This happens approximately half of the time.  Both
3.2.0-4-amd64 and 3.9-0.bpo.1-amd64 have the same issue.  The card is a
recently purchase, so I have not used it with older versions.

When the card does not work, wpa_supplicant will not start.  In this case, the

This device has PCI ID 168c:002e and PCI address 0000:02:00.0.
But in the non-working log, we can see:

Its device ID has changed!  So of course it is not recognised.  This is
surely a hardware fault.

First, check that the card is firmly plugged in.  If that doesn't help,
I think you should try to return it for redund or replacement.
