Bug#714287: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64: Add Support for Cirrus Logic 4213 Audio Chipset

Package: src:linux
Version: 3.2.46-1
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

Dear Maintainer,

I recently purchased a Dell Insprion 13z laptop with a built-in Intel HDA sound
card. It was detected and works great, except for one issue - the automuting of
speakers when plugging in headphones doesn't work. Turns out that's because
Kernel 3.2 doesn't know about the 4213 chipset and treats it like its 4210
sibling (which doesn't quite work the same way).

This upstream patch added support for the 4213 chipset and was included in
Kernel 3.3:

http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-
stable.git/commit/?id=5660ffd06935e564404412997a703279e325fa64

After compiling and booting the 3.9 kernel from wheezy-backports, I can confirm
that my laptop automutes properly. Please consider backporting this upstream
patch to the 3.2 kernel.
