Hi,

Using Squeeze on my netbook Dell Mini 9 (aka Inspiron 910) with WiFi Broadcom
BCM4312 802.11b/g chip and after having installed firmware-b43-lpphy-installer
everything was ok.

Then i couldn't connect via wi-fi to the net anymore. I think that an upgrade
must be the cause.

Then i tried that workaround (see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=589867#26) :
# rmmod b43
# echo "options b43 pio=1 qos=0" > /etc/modprobe.d/b43.conf
# modprobe b43
and it works again

Howvere i wouldn't consider that bug to be fixed since user shouldn't have to
apply the workaround by himself !

Besides it seems that Linux 3.0 has a fix for that
http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#Known_issues

Thanks

Hi,
your bug has been filed against the "linux-2.6" source package and was filed for
a kernel older than the recently released Debian 7.0 / Wheezy with a severity
less than important.

We don't have the ressources to reproduce the complete backlog of all older kernel
bugs, so we're closing this bug for now. If you can reproduce the bug with Debian Wheezy
or a more recent kernel from testing or unstable, please reopen the bug by sending
a mail to control@bugs.debian.org with the following three commands included in the
mail:

reopen BUGNUMBER
reassign BUGNUMBER src:linux
thanks

Cheers,
        Moritz
