Severity: grave

Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropriate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?
   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?

My Sound_Blaster_Live!_24_Bit soundcard, which used to serve me well for some time does
not work anymore. It is driven by snd-ca0106 alsa kernel module. There were several other
issues related to this reported already:
	648011@bugs.debian.org
	647295@bugs.debian.org
	647264@bugs.debian.org
	644901@bugs.debian.org
Now this seems to be the right place to file this report against.
When I try to record a few minutes of audio with audacity, the result is a file of a few
seconds length. This does not sound right either, as you can imagine.

Hi,
your bug has been filed against the "linux-2.6" source package and was filed for
a kernel older than the recently released Debian 7.0 / Wheezy with a severity
less than important.

We don't have the ressources to reproduce the complete backlog of all older kernel
bugs, so we're closing this bug for now. If you can reproduce the bug with Debian Wheezy
or a more recent kernel from testing or unstable, please reopen the bug by sending
a mail to control@bugs.debian.org with the following three commands included in the
mail:

reopen BUGNUMBER
reassign BUGNUMBER src:linux
thanks

Cheers,
        Moritz
