Bug#704767: closed by Ben Hutchings <ben@decadent.org.uk> (Re: Bug#704767: linux-image-2.6.32-5-amd64: kernel crashes when task block for more than 120 seconds)
Hi Ben,
I am pretty sure that running doxygen (high load) is related to this
lockup, but based on your comment, maybe I am wrong.
I will try to run doxygen again during the weekend and will see if it
locked up monday.
To date, I have run doxygen overnight twice and both times the
computer became irresponsive (the Num Lock key wouldn't light up the
LED on the keyboard for example).
Both times, I reniced the doxygen process to 'idle io class' and 'nice
priority 19'.
root@Debianosaur:~# sysctl -a | grep lockup
kernel.softlockup_panic = 0
kernel.softlockup_thresh = 60
I don't remember ever changing this parameter, so I assume
softlockup_panic was never enabled.
