Bug#701790: linux-tools: please move /etc/bash_completion.d/perf to linux-base
Source: linux-tools
Version: 3.7.1-1~experimental.1
Severity: important
Justification: file conflict waiting to happen
Today I tried to update linux-tools.
| # dpkg -i /var/cache/pbuilder/result/linux-tools-3.8_3.8-1~experimental.1_amd64.deb
| (Reading database ... 137118 files and directories currently installed.)
| Unpacking linux-tools-3.8 (from .../linux-tools-3.8_3.8-1~experimental.1_amd64.deb) ...
| dpkg: error processing /var/cache/pbuilder/result/linux-tools-3.8_3.8-1~experimental.1_amd64.deb (--install):
| trying to overwrite '/etc/bash_completion.d/perf', which is also in package linux-tools-3.7 3.7.1-1~experimental.1
| dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)
| Errors were encountered while processing:
| /var/cache/pbuilder/result/linux-tools-3.8_3.8-1~experimental.1_amd64.deb
Filing so it's not forgotten.
Thanks,
Jonathan
