You're mixing up two different types of version.  The 'kernel version'
(shown by 'uname -r') has been 2.6.32-5-amd64 since squeeze release.
The package version has been incremented from 2.6.32-30 (I think) to
2.6.32-46 in point releases, security updates etc.

I'm aware there have been fixes in this area but don't know
whether this has been completely fixed.
