Package: initramfs-tools
Version: 0.109
Severity: normal
I've just ran aptitude to update testing, which updated just a few
packages. However, during the configuration stage I noticed that
update-initramfs ran twice: once after unpacking and then after
package configuration.
This is not really a problem, but I see no point on generating an
initrd image which will be trashed away in a few seconds.
I'll translate-and-paste the output from an interactive aptitude
session below. Please note that I ran it with my locale (Catalan) so
some of the messages could not be accurate compared to the C locale.
If this is really required for some reason (I'm not an expert on the
area), please forgive me for the noise.
I'm also not sure if this should be filed here, as initramfs-tools
was not any of the packages involved in the update.

initramfs-tools isn't in control of this; dpkg and apt are. You might
request that they changed to do a better job of coalescing triggers,
but this is most likely a known problem and not currently a high
priority for their maintainers.
