Bug#695969: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64: ath.ko prints thousands of error messages and wireless connection goes down

Package: src:linux
Version: 3.2.35-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
   * What led up to the situation?
Just using the computer while both wlan0 and eth0 were active and eth0 was the
prefered route.

This also ocurred yesterday, so I built upstream linux-3.7 and ran it overnight
and all day today without issue.

Got home, downgraded to linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 from unstable, and within
minutes the wireless network starts acting up (noticed because NetworkManager
asked me for my wireless password again).

Looked in /var/log/messages, and there are thousands of messages from ath.ko.
>From right before the issues started and including some of many messages looks
like:

At this point, the wireless network isn't functioning. It has no IP address,
and it isn't connected to an access point.
