sorry, i didnt noticed that a message in syslog had appeared when the crash happened. the message was: Aug 8 13:31:02 --- kernel: [91908.859969] vlc[12411] general protection ip: 7f727fb1c428 sp:7f7287cacc50 error:0 in libts_plugin.so[7f727fb18000+14000] so i can say that the crash happened exactly 20 minutes after the launch of the vlc command.
