Bug#504116: [etchnhalf] RAID1 broken after upgrading kernel to 2.6.24-etchnhalf

Sorry we lost track of this before.  Before investigating further, a
few questions:

 - do you still have access to this machine?
 - if so, how are you coping?  What kernel do you use?
 - any workarounds or other weird observations?
