I don't think so.  This board has an AMD SB850 which apparently has
compatibility problems with CD/DVD drives while in AHCI mode.  The BIOS
might have a workaround that puts it in legacy mode if it has a CD/DVD
drive attached, or maybe always (completly ignoring the configuration).

Anyway, I don't think the kernel should try to change the mode of a SATA
controller.  This will just introduce more compatibility problems.
