Bug#696771: E: linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2

Package: src:linux
Version: 3.2.35-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I have got the following message at various points: E: linux-
image-3.2.0-4-amd64: subprocess installed post-installation script returned
error exit status 2
E: initramfs-tools: subprocess installed post-installation script returned
error exit status 1
I am running wheezy, installed from the liveCD, on a samsung RV520 laptop.
It happens mostly when trying to do stuff using apt/apt-get/synaptic etc.
It seems to sometimes stop it happening, although I'm not sure what it stops
happening.
