Bug#688350: kworker constantly uses ~70% some time after system startup

Hello Jonathan!

If someone provides commands to run or a patch to try, would you be
interested in working further on a fix?

I'll be happy to do what I can to fix this issue.

Either way, please attach full "dmesg" output from an affected boot
and "acpidump" output. If you have a chance to try a 3.6.y or newer
kernel from experimental, that would help as well (since then we can
take this upstream).

I'm attaching a compressed archive with the data you requested using 3.6 from experimental. I should probably note that the kernel in Squeeze is having the same issue, linux-image-2.6.32-5-amd64. It seems like this is a pretty old bug.

Once the bug got triggered I collected the data and after that applied my workaround. Directly after this kworker calmed down. If I "unfix" it by echoing "enable" instead of "disable" the issue will instantly reappear.

Thank you,
Jimmy
