Therefore I assume it is fixed in the above version.

So this is really CardBus (PCI through a PCMCIA connector) and
not an ancient real PCMCIA card.

If you can identify how this got fixed, I can look at applying that in
3.2 for 'wheezy' as well.  Otherwise, it's not going to be a high
priority.
