Dear Maintainer,

after the system had been idle (lunch break) I found a message

Thanks, that's a comfort.  So wheezy is presumably not affected.

Since this is said to be fixed in experimental, closing
optimistically, but confirmation either way about how newer kernels
behave would be welcome.
