Package: linux-image-2.6.32-5-amd64
Version: 2.6.32-41 I am getting a kernel panic on a subset of my machines on bootup. It usually happens on first boot and then when you reboot it, it boots normally.. I have also seen this bug once when I plugged in a USB thumbdrive. The kernel panic and happened almost instantaneously. I am not running a stock config, so I have included my kernel config, module list, lspci output, and pic of the kernel panic. NOTE: My hunch is that a patch may have broken this..with some preliminary testing I did the following. I download the linux-2.6 source DID NOT patch the source packaged it and installed it on target machines and this problem did not occur anymore. I also would like to add that this is not reproducible on every machine here..it only happens on a subset..I have tried to eliminate hardware configuration but came up with nothing. thanks, -Buford |
