Bug#662766: update-initramfs: does not find modules xhci ext4dev zfcp dasd_* on 3.2.0-1-amd64
Package: initramfs-tools
Version: 0.100
Severity: important
Dear Maintainer,
I did a system update/upgrade and noticed a problem while updating the initrd.
So i tried to reproduce the problem by calling : update-initramfs -u
That is what i got :
~# update-initramfs -u
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.2.0-1-amd64
FATAL: Module xhci not found.
FATAL: Module ext4dev not found.
FATAL: Module zfcp not found.
FATAL: Module dasd_diag_mod not found.
FATAL: Module dasd_eckd_mod not found.
FATAL: Module dasd_fba_mod not found.
WARNING: could not open /var/tmp/mkinitramfs_QGQyan/lib/modules/3.2.0-1-amd64/modules.builtin: No such file or directory
I did not reboot my computer yet, since i'm not sure it is safe.
While reading the next lines of this report, i notice the "-- initramfs sizes" info does not show the good one. A "ls -lh /boot/init*3.2*" gives me this output :
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 11M mars 6 10:14 /boot/initrd.img-3.2.0-1-amd64
Regards,
Mazkagaz
