Ben: I also replugged the wifi card.

I have also rebooted with pci_aspm=off, and while it has only been a few hours, I have not seen any of the usual irratic behavior that I am used to seeing from the wireless card. Usually this is an ongoing source of irritation to me, though some times it works for a while without problems, so we will see if it lasts.

I would have replugged the wifi card a long time ago, but if I recall correctly, it is a little more complicated on this laptop than most I have owned, I don't have the time for it, and am a little wary of tinkering with my main computer when everything I am doing is time critical right now (maybe after I get out of school in a few months).
