Bug#660291: More information



With 5 Edgeport/416 adapters to compare, I have found one that almost works right.  It may stay connected for hours but it too periodically removes/adds the device files.  The one with semi-sane behaviour has a SN that starts with E.  All the other SNs look like Wxxxxxxxx and I have asked the vendor for information about the one with the Exxxxxxxx format.

I am also finding more information with dmesg.  The others just cleanly disconnected and were added again.  Now I find the following trace information:
