I'm hoping that's not the case, since I'd still like to see this
fixed.  What kernel do you use these days?  Are you using the
nomodeset parameter or something?

If you can't reproduce it, that would be interesting to know, and we
can try to figure out why.  If you can, please test the patch
"drm/i915: mark our workqueue as freezeable" from the upstream bug
log and report back there.  Instructions for testing a patched Debian
