I have this oops always reproducible on my laptop with the kernel from
squeeze:

% uname -a
Linux kaiba 2.6.32-5-686 #1 SMP Mon Jun 13 04:13:06 UTC 2011 i686 GNU/Linux

% apt-cache policy linux-image-2.6.32-5-686
linux-image-2.6.32-5-686:
  Installed: 2.6.32-35
  Candidate: 2.6.32-35
  Version table:
 *** 2.6.32-35 0
        500 http://ftp.fi.debian.org/debian/ stable/main i386 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
     2.6.32-34squeeze1 0
        500 http://security.debian.org/ stable/updates/main i386 Packages

It happens if I pull off the usb cord of my external HDD dive when it
is still mounted (I mount usb drives with automount; initially noticed
the oops when disconnected the drive accidentally). An excerpt from
the syslog is given below, from the time of connecting the drive. The
disconnect happens at 15:39:05 and is immediately followed by an oops
after which it is impossible to sync (the command freezes) or to
reboot with Ctl-Alt-Del.
