Bug#650916: linux-image-3.1.0-1-amd64: WARNING in iommu/dmar.c when VT-d is enabled in BIOS

Hi,

When I enable VT-d in the BIOS, the linux kernel produces the following WARNING on boot,

I guess this is caused by a buggy bios (as indicated) and nothing can be done from the kernel side?
Except maybe the kernel shouldn't produce a WARNING (and kernel taint) because of this?

The motherboard in question is an ASUS P7P55D-E running bios version 1504, which is the latest version.
I've always had this error, even with previous bios versions and earlier kernel versions. Even
the (pre-)squeeze kernels had this. Feel free to simply close this if the WARNING is the expected
behaviour on broken bioses.

The reportbug output below is taken when the VT-d feature is disabled. I'll attach the dmesg output
from a boot into single user with VT-d enabled.
