It should be possible to prevent the wl driver from loading by placing a file
with the text

	blacklist wl

in a file named "ps-blacklist-broadcom.conf" in /etc/modprobe.d.

Thanks.  Could you describe the symptoms when it crashes more?  Does the
screen turn black, does it make any noise, does the computer reboot, does
the magic sysrq key or capslock work afterwards, etc.
