Bug#611107: ath5k phy0: noise floor calibration timeout

I've found a kernel 3.0.0 able to boot for my architecture, (sorry but I had no time to adapt "sid" or "experimental" kernel to my arch.)
It's
linux-image-3.0.0-voyage_10.0-1_i386.deb

Well, it doesn't show anymore the noise calibration failure/timeout.
If you need me to collect more info let me know how to proceed: I really would like to see this fix into Squeeze/stable.

Thanks!
S

Could you test a 3.x kernel from sid or experimental[1]?  (The only
packages needed from outside squeeze aside from the linux image itself
to do so should be initramfs-tools and linux-base.)  There have been a
few possibly relevant fixes; e.g.:

 - v2.6.33-rc1~388^2~599^2~85 (ath5k: use noise calibration from
  madwifi hal)
 - v2.6.35-rc1~473^2~167^2~438 (ath5k: initialize default noise floor)

If 3.x still shows trouble, please send a summary of the problem, with
"dmesg" output from booting up and exhibiting the problem attached, to
linux-wireless@vger.kernel.org, cc-ing ath5k-devel@lists.ath5k.org and
either me or this bug log so we can track it.

If it does not show trouble, what would be most helpful is to find the
most recent version that does exhibit the problem, for example by
running a bisection search through the packages available from [2], so
we can try to understand how the next version fixed it and backport
the change to squeeze.

Thanks and hope that helps,
Jonathan
