The module parameter will be added in the next version (2.6.32-30). Note that in the release after 'squeeze' rt2870sta will be replaced with a new driver 'rt2870usb' which uses the common Linux 802.11 support code. You will then need to specify the same parameter for the 'cfg80211' module instead (in fact, you can set that now in preparation).
