There should be a shared repository at: git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.gi but that requires some custom setup. I've just sent a request to the kernel.org admins to re-create it. In the mean time, I can re-create my repository and David and I can merge back and forth as necessary.
