Hm.

Ok, please try a 3.x.y kernel from sid or experimental; the only
packages aside from the kernel image itself from outside squeeze that
should be needed for this are linux-base and initramfs-tools.

If it exhibits the problem, then please send a summary to upstream
(that means netdev@vger.kernel.org, cc-ing Steffen Klassert
<klassert@mathematik.tu-chemnitz.de> and either me or this bug log so
we can track it). The summary should mention:

 - which kernel versions you've tested and found to be affected
 - which kernel versions you've tested and found not to be affected,
   if any
 - steps to reproduce the problem
 - what the symptoms are
 - full "dmesg" output from booting an affected version and reproducing
the problem, if possible[1], as an attachment
 - any workarounds you know of, or other weird observations
 - http://bugs.debian.org/590582 in case the reader wants the full
   story

If on the other hand it doesn't exhibit the problem, they we can try
to find some versions halfway between from http://snapshot.debian.org/
to find the patch the fixed it, and try applying that to squeeze.

Thanks for the quick testing.

Sincerely,
Jonathan

[1] if text for the final messages (if any) is not available, a
photograph of a screen showing them is fine. Or netconsole or a
serial console might help:
http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/networking/netconsole.txt
http://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/serial-console.txt
Messages from boot-up can be grabbed from /var/log/dmesg* somewhere
if they have already scrolled out of the log buffer.
